LAUTH The Laboratory for Thermodynamics of the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki (LAT/AuTh)specializes in emissions control technology for mobile sources for impact assessment studies, emission standard development, monitoring policies, and inventorying.

Headed by Prof. Zisis Samaras, LAT/AUTh is responsible for the development of the COPERT tool on behalf of EEA and UNECE, the TRENDS tool on behalf of DG TREN and EUROSTAT, and it is a member of the European Topic Centre on Air and Climate Change. In the area of transport scenarios, it has taken part in AutoOil II and in CAFE.
