NTUA , has developed and applied several energy and economic models for all EU member states. These include the medium-term econometric engineering MIDAS model, the PRIMES energy market equilibrium model, and the GEM-E3 general equilibrium macro-economic model.

Under leadership of Prof. Pantelis Kapros, model applications have been carried out for the European Commission (e.g., DG-TREN, DG-ENV) and for public authorities in many countries.
